Christkindlmarkt, Bethlehem, PA.

Located within walking distance of the WindCreek Casino, Christkindlmarkt is a decent sized German style festival with local shops, imported German items, and German style foods throughout.

If you’re not from the area, you can stay at WindCreek for around $250 a night and it’s a pretty nice place.

It really doesn’t take long to get through everything, so if you’re just visiting to shop and eat, you can see everything in just a couple of hours.

There is an admission cost of around $15 or so, but you can get your hand stamped and come back later if you would like. Parking is close by and wasn’t really a problem.

THE RATINGS:

  • Van Pelt Hot Dog Co.- Braised Beef & Five Bean Chili: 6/10. Would’ve been a little higher if it was hotter. It was barely warm.

  • Van Pelt Hot Dog Co.: Fried Pickles 7.5/10

  • Foodstuff: Potato Pancakes with Apple Sauce 7/10

  • Foodstuff: German Meat Turnover 9/10

I really wish I had more time to eat some of the other food options, but I did buy some things to take home.
