The 42nd Annual Covered Bridge and Arts Festival, Bloomsburg, Pa. - Saturday, October 6th, 2024

The Covered Bridge Festival is a post Bloomsburg Fair festival that encompasses the area of Gate 3, straight up until the midway on the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. Admission and parking are both free.

Many of the food vendors at the fair stuck around for Covered Bridge, although there were food vendors here that weren’t at the fair.

Karschners

Pretzel Bun Breakfast Sandwich - 5/10. I had this years ago, and it was amazing. The sausage was very tiny and dry. I ate it, but I wouldn’t get it again.

Bassetts

Ham, Green Bean, and Potato soup- 8.5/10. Good and piping hot, but very salty.

Chicken Corn Chowder - 6/10. Piping hot, but lacking flavor.

Glenda and Scotts Homemade Ice Cream

Peanut Butter Ice Cream - 10/10. THE KING OF PEANUT BUTTER ICE CREAM…THE BEST!

All of the ice cream here is great, but the peanut butter is perfect and really sticks out above all of the rest.

German Stand

Schnuben Sandwich - 5/10. It looks a lot better than it tastes. The kraut had barely any flavor.

Alpine Punch - 7/10

Gordys

Steakburger - 5/10. This burger is all bun. If they could get a smaller bun, it would make this burger a lot better. They’re pre-cooked and heated up quickly when you order them. I also think if you could get the burger fresh, it would be a lot better. It has the potential
