Old Man Franks, Winter Haven, FL.
Still one of the top 5 restaurants in Winter Haven, located on Lake Howard, is Old Man Franks. The outdoor dining area is directly on the lake and you can even dock your boat and stop by for a meal and some drinks. You’ll always see alligators nearby (probably because people feed them, which is illegal and imposes a $500 fine if you get caught.) The kitchen is very small and most items are baked in an oven, they don’t have a deep fryer.
We dined on a Thursday evening and it wasn’t very busy. On the weekends, they have live bands and parking is limited, so plan ahead as it can get quite busy here. If you’re in the area, this is a must-stop.
