Little Italy Days Italian Festival, Bloomfield/Pittsburgh, PA.

Last year at this time, I was in Cleveland, Ohio at the Feast of the Assumption Festival. This year, I was lucky enough to discover the Little Italy Days Festival in Pittsburgh PA. In comparison, Pittsburgh’s festival was about three times the size of Cleveland’s; however, Cleveland’s festival was ALL Italian food.

Just about a ten-minute drive from downtown, Bloomfield is a nice little town with plenty of free parking near the main drag.

The festival was absolutely packed, but it was easy to get in and get out of. If I lived in the area, I would go every single year.

THE RATINGS:

  • Angelo’s Pepperoni Pizza: 9/10. It had great flavor, it was hot, and it had a great crunch.

  • Italian Egg Rolls: 8/10, Loved them.

  • Lemonade: 7.5/10.

  • Frankie’s Sausage Sandwich: 8.5/10.

  • Di Anoia’s Eatery - Meatballs: 9/10. Mama Mia, that’s a good meatball.
